waiting and waiting some more. for around a year and a half we've been waiting. waiting for news, waiting for this document or that appointment, ugh. enough is not enough it seems. we were due to leave february 10 but, due to the chinese new year,

our departure has been pushed back to the 17th. the nerve of them giving priority to a five thousand year old holiday.

hello kids,

it's a greek thing to call everyone kids (ya sou pedia!). we decided to keep a blog running of our adventure into parenthood to keep everyone up to date. since lola was our first baby, i thought it appropriate to show her here. she's grown up a tad, that's our other baby, buddy. although, he was first to grace our lives, she remains the baby of the family. we should have gotten dogs sooner.

i called this page "that's far" because that's the story of my life.

question from someone i just met; "where do you live?"

my answer; "St. ilesdechiboogamookmook"

invariable reply; "gee, that's far"

and so, since i have heard that reply so often, i thought it appropriate to call it that since, we are going to china to adopt a little girl.
